US, UK jets bomb four Yemeni provinces in support of Israeli war
Washington, London, and Tel Aviv have launched close to 900 air raids across Yemen in an attempt to stop the country's pro-Palestine military operations
US and UK warplanes launched over a dozen raids across four provinces in Yemen on 4 October, hitting multiple sites including the country's airport in the capital Sanaa and the main port city of Hodeidah.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Yemen reported that the western aggression also hit the provinces of Dhamar and Al-Bayda in the southeast of the country.
"We will continue to defend our country and our people with all our strength, and our operations will continue in the battle of the promised conquest and the holy Jihad," Yemeni Minister of Information Hashem Sharaf al-Din told SABA news agency following Friday's attacks.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed earlier in the day that it hit “15 Houthi targets in Iranian-backed Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen” as part of Washington's unsuccessful efforts to deter Yemeni operations in support of Palestine and Lebanon.
On Thursday, Washington and London's forces launched four air raids on Hodeidah province.
Commenting on the latest aggressions against the country, a senior Yemeni source told Al Mayadeen that the country has been hit by more than 860 US, British, and Israeli raids over the past year, 39 of which were conducted this week alone.
Friday's raids came a few hours after millions of Yemenis took to the streets of the country to honor the late Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah under the banner "Loyalty to the Martyr of Muslims... With Gaza and Lebanon, One Battle Until Victory."
The Ansarallah-led Yemeni Armed Forces have recently intensified their military operations against Israel's genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the intense war launched against Lebanon.
“We are facing the Israeli enemy, along with its US and British partners, who are a front for crime and tyranny,” Ansarallah leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi said during a speech on Thursday.
As part of its operations, Yemeni forces have also shot down 11 US MQ-9 reaper drones since the start of the year.
